El Nino Conditions Threaten Pasadena California Roofs

El Nino Conditions Threaten Pasadena California Roofs

As you have probably noticed, the weather this summer has been a bit out of the ordinary.

When was the last time we got rain in the middle of August like that?

The U.S. Climate Prediction Center said a couple months ago that the odds of an El Nino during the Northern Hemisphere summer are about “70 percent”.

You probably remember the last two El Niño weather patterns we experienced (1998 and 2005) where we had heavy rains throughout the year that caused many older roofs to leak.  We got tons of panicked people calling us asking for immediate help because their house and belongings were getting ruined!

If you are in Pasadena area (or the surrounding Los Angeles area), it pays to be proactive when it comes to protecting yourself from expensive water-damage.  When we had El Niño conditions in 1998 and 2005 every roofer in this area was booked solid for 6-9 months in advance.  Because of that influx of business, everyone’s fees went up.

So, if you want to save money and prevent your house from water damage, give us a call at 1-800-303-0766 or send us an email at hello@jndavis.com.
